We believe that education is a very important aspect in one's life, and that it should be mandatory. Starting at the age of five, boys are required to begin public schooling. When they are 14, they are required to choose between continuing their education or joining the military. Young girls are taught at home by their mothers all the things that they are required to know, as they cannot go to public school. The things that they learn are physical education and household duties.
Stages of Education
Stage 1: This stage begins at the age of 5, and ends at the age of 8. In this stage, boy are taught basic mathematics, reading, writing, and physical education. It is mandatory that they attend these classes.
Stage 2: The second stage begins at the age of 9, and continues until they turn 14. Here, they are taught geometry, geography, arithmetic, astronomy, chemistry, physical education, and advanced reading and writing skills. At the end of this stage, boys are given the opportunity to either join the military, where they will train until the age of 18, or continue with their eduction, which also lasts until they turn 18. However, if there is a shortage in the number of men in the military, boys will be required to join until the number is at a reasonable amount again.
Stage 3: Here, the boys who have decided to continue their education learn advanced skills in things previously taught, and are also allowed to focus on some subjects more than others as it can help them in their further careers.

Reason and Philosophy
We believe reason and philosophy to be important in the advancement in the knowledge of a city-state. However, we would not consider it to be as important as other subjects such as geography, reading, and writing. If one wishes to pursue a career in philosophy, or wishes to further their knowledge in that area, they are able to do so in their third stage of education.
